After three weeks of traveling, we were desperately in need of a date night. Jason made us reservations at Brio, Tuscan Grille an Italian restaurant in the Southlake Town Square. Todd called that afternoon to see if we wanted to hang out with him and Valerie, so we invited them to join us for dinner. It was great to see them again and we had a fun catching up.
After a great dinner, we parted ways with the Nectouxs. They went to the movies, and we went to the Gaylord Texan for the Alice in Wonderland exhibit. I just LOVE that hotel, even if they aren’t hosting an event. It’s so big and beautiful, and a great place to walk around. As soon as we walked in the huge front doors, there was a pianist playing music from the 80's, so we sat, sipped our sodas and just chilled. So nice. The atrium was decorated with the theme of “Alice in Wonderland,” and we enjoyed the novelty of it. The characters walked around taking pictures with kids and adults alike, there was a Mad Hatter Tea Party, and a life sized chess game. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, just walking around people watching. A great date night!
