We invited the Hatley’s and Nectoux’s over for a barbecue before the fireworks on the fourth. Jason manned the grill and we enjoyed “zesty” chicken, pasta salad and cucumber salad (from our garden!). I also made a cake and berry dessert (not from scratch – I cheated and bought frozen pound cake!). After dinner the plan was to watch the fireworks from the sailboat, however the marina was closed because of the crowds. We ended up watching the show from a parking lot in downtown Grapevine. A fun evening with friends!
